Promoting Shared Decision Making for Inuit Communities

Not Deciding Alone is a research project dedicated to enhancing Inuit participation in healthcare decisions by promoting shared decision making. This approach ensures that individuals, along with their families, collaborate with healthcare providers to make informed choices about their health. Led by a team of Inuit-specific organizations and academic health researchers, Not Deciding Alone focuses on supporting positive health outcomes for Inuit communities in the Qikiqtaani region of Nunavut and Ottawa, Ontario.

OHSNI is proud to be on the Not Deciding Alone Steering Committee. Through regular meetings and a commitment to inclusive research practices, the Steering Committee aims to foster meaningful partnerships and improve healthcare experiences for Inuit individuals and families.
