Ottawa Health Services Network Inc. works closely with Larga Baffin Ltd.   However, we are separate companies.

OHSNI takes care of all confidential medical information.  Larga staff does not have access to any medical records.   OHSNI will let Larga staff know when a patient is discharged from the hospital.  The Case Managers also let them know when a person has finished all their medical appointments and can go home.  OHSNI nurses inform Larga’s management about any special needs- from diets, to no stairs allowed, to travel arrangements.

Larga Baffin Ltd. is a boarding home specifically designed for the Inuit coming from Baffin Island for medical services.  They provide meals, travel arrangements and boarding needs.  Larga does not provide any personal care or medical translation.    Larga Baffin is staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

OHSNI’s Case Managers , Social Worker and Interpreters visit Larga House often.  Please feel free to talk to them and ask questions.  If you need help with your health problems, you can always ask Larga’s staff to call OHSNI at any time.
